Encapsulated: Renderings of Pods

Greene County Museum, 107 Northwest Third Street, Snow Hill, NC

Opening Reception:  November 10, 2016, 7:00 – 8:30pm

Exhibition: November 10th – December 29th

Renee J. Moore will be presenting her recent work, Encapsulated: Renderings of Pods, that celebrates the uniqueness of nature with its pods and seeds of lifeforms at the Greene County Museum in Snow Hill, NC.  Her pod renderings are expressed through drawings, paintings, clay, hand felted and textile forms. The exhibition displays both true and expressive interpretations rendering of nature found seed pods and the life contained within.

The beauty of these seed pods are presented as a metaphor of human life.  The exhibition is intended to inspire the viewer to consider the miracle of life that starts with the smallest of beginnings and develops into a Being uniquely designed by its Creator. Moore encourages the viewers to find a pod that best characterizes oneself.  Encapsulated: Renderings of Pods will be on exhibition November 10 – December 29, 2016 at Greene County Museum, 107 Northwest Third Street, Snow Hill, North Carolina.
